May Project Kit - Layered Florals 3D Embossed Card Kit

This month's project kit is a set of 10 cards using Stampin’ Up!’s beautiful Layered Floral 3D Embossing Folder, Simply Said stamp set, and the new In Color Stamp Pads. In this class you will learn how to create two different effects using the same technique. 5 cards will be monochromatic and the other 5 will have a fun pop of color.  There will not be a local class this month, but you can order the non-consumable supplies (embossing folder, stamp set, etc) on my website here and then I will send you a package with pre-cut cardstock, (10) card bases and envelopes, and the instruction guide absolutely free!

Close to my Heart Products

For former CTMH Makers and Customers

As many of you know when Close to my Heart decided to close their doors, they worked out a special deal with Stampin’ Up! to carry their limited supply of new products. Because they have a very limited supply, they are only able to offer them to former Makers and customers who had a valid email address on file with CTMH!

New CTMH goodies available on May 1st!

As many of you know, my new creative adventure as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator starts on May 1st. What you may not know, is that one of the exciting things that Close to my Heart has arranged as they prepare to close their doors, is for many of the new products that they designed for upcoming releases to be available through SU! instead!

How and when can you order?
You will be able to order these CTMH designed products on my new Stampin’ Up! website www.lisa.stampinup.net. Once you are on my new site, simply go to the menu, select “Shop Products,” then click “CTMH Product.” The new products will be released throughout May, June, July, and August as they become available starting on May 1st. To make sure you are able to purchase the new collections, you will want to set up your online shopping account on May 1st.

Who can purchase the items?
These products are only available to former CTMH Makers, VIP customers, and customers who had an online account with Close To My Heart. This is because Stampin’ Up! was only able to acquire a certain number of products from Close To My Heart for release. And while this is an exclusive offer, these Close To My Heart product quantities are limited and while supplies last.

Are you a CTMH VIP Customer?
All former CTMH VIP's will receive a FREE new 2024-2025 Stampin' Up! annual catalog with their first order in May! They don't have a VIP program YET, but they still want to let our former VIP's know they are special!

The first collection that will be available is called Enjoy the Ride. It is a super fun collection and is expected to sell out quickly! Card and Flowers from CTMH

I received the most beautiful card and gorgeous flowers from Close to my Heart for promoting to the Founder title. I wanted to share the happiness with you. 

Isn’t the card pretty? It looks like the art department used the Flower Friends Stamp and Thin Cuts along with some die cuts using the Decorative Shapes Thin Cuts. The pink patterned paper is from the Jan-Feb 2024 Mix-Ins and the green paper with the leaves is from the Mar-Apr 2024 Mix-Ins. They also did some hand stitching the large flower and some faux ink stitching on the large circle. This is one of my all time favorite cards and I will treasure it forever! 

I also received this bouquet of gorgeous flowers with a very sweet note of congratulations. 

I am truly touched. The CTMH Home Office and Executive Team have always been so kind and so encouraging! I will miss so much about CTMH, but I think the people are what I will miss the most.

Cute Little Hedgehogs Card

I am in love with the adorable Little Hedgehogs April Stamp of the Month. How cute is this little guy? I created the top panel of the card by die cutting a piece of White Daisy cardstock using the medium sized Stitched Rectangle Thin Cuts die. I hand cut some cloud shapes from some scrap cardstock. I placed them on the diet cut rectangle and lightly swirled some Capri ink over the clouds with a Blending Brush to create the background. Then I stamped the hedgehog on a piece of scrap cardstock with Black Memento ink. I colored him in with a variety of TriBlend Markers and then cut him out using my Micro-Tip Scissors. I matted a piece of patterned paper from the Honey Bunny Paper Packet to a piece of Espresso cardstock and then adhered it to a standard sized card base. I matted the inked rectage to another piece of Espresso cardstock and adhered it to the center of the card. 

I cut a small White Daisy banner shape and stamped the sentiment from a retired set called For All Occasions in Espresso ink. I adhered the banner and the little hedgehog to the card with some Thin 3-D Foam Tape to finish it off.

Big Changes Ahead...

As many of you know, after 40 years in the papercrafting industry, Close to my Heart will be closing its doors. I cannot begin to tell you how much this company has impacted my life over the past 19 years that I have worked with them. CTMH has provided opportunities for me to grow personally, creatively, and professionally. I have done business and creative presentations on stage at Conventions numerous times, designed workshops for the home office, designed projects that were published in CTMH books, served on the Advisory Board, served on the Product Strategy Committee, reordered corporate training videos, earned 7 incentive trips, and have enjoyed every minute of it! Not only has it been a creative outlet for me and provided a nice income for my family, but it has also brought so many incredible people into my life and I have been blessed with some amazing friendships!

As they say, when one door closes, another opens. CTMH has been working closely with Stampin' Up! to help find a new home for CTMH Makers and customers. I am thrilled to announce that as of May 1, 2024, I will continue my creative journey as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. I had the privilege of attending a special event at Stampin' Up! a couple weeks ago for CTMH leaders, where I was able to meet the SU! executive team and learn more about the company. It was an amazing experience. I was not only impressed with their beautiful corporate office in Utah, but by the wonderful people who work there! The entire team including the CEO, all of the department heads, the Demonstrator Support Team, and everyone else I had the opportunity to meet, were incredibly kind and welcoming. I felt at home as soon as I walked into their building.

If you are wondering what the transition will look like, I am contracted with CTMH through April 30, 2024 and you will be able to order from my CTMH website until then. On May 1, 2024, I will be contracted with Stampin' Up! and will share my new website information then. My email address, blog, YouTube channel, and Instagram information will not change. I will continue with my monthly Creative Club, with a few minor changes. If you have any specific questions about the transition, feel free to reach out to me. I would be happy to share more.
